It began with an ambition to rejuvenate the most ancient medical science of India, our Hon’ble founder Shri. Padmakarrao Haribhau Mulay established the College in June 1989-1990. CSMSS Ayurved Mahavidyalaya and Rugnalaya affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine & Department of AYUSH,Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. College building accommodates well-equipped laboratories, dissection lobby, spacious demonstration halls, museums, classrooms and library with internet facility. Our institute consists of senior faculties, who are proficient in their own subjects. In the classrooms our research oriented faculty goes student oriented.

The College conserves an herbal garden having more than 300 medicinal plant species. Few endangered herbal species are seen here. State of art equipment is installed in our pharmacy to manufacture a variety of classical Ayurvedic preparations. The College library has ample space. It has a huge reading hall & a well furnished section containing more than 12,000 volumes on Ayurvedic and allied medicines. Library subscribes to imperative scientific periodicals. The College runs 220-bed strength Ayurvedic Hospital. Our OPDs & IPDs attract a huge number of patients, facilitating our students to get better clinical exposure.

CSMSS INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF Indian System of Medicine (CIJISM) is the journal by CSMSS Ayurved Mahavidyalaya and Rugnalaya. CIJISM is the international, authentic,double blind peer reviewed biannual journal for latest research in the field of Indian System of medicine. This journal is dedicated to publish original, scientific research in the field of ayurveda, yoga and other traditional systems.

Our mission is to advance research by working to develop and maintain competence, ethics and integrity and the highest professional standards in the specialty for the benefit of the public. The Faculty seeks, through its activities, to bring about an improvement in research of the public.

CIJISM aims at making the on-going research available to those who race genuine interest in the field of Ayurvedic research through in reviewed, revalidated and scientifically proven data on a single plot forum with a hope that this will be helpful for the students and the research of Ayurveda to widen their Horizon. Our journal provides important information in the form of Notifications, visual documents of different cases and other study materials for the better understanding of Ayurvedic concepts and to reach globally.

The journal conforms to the guidelines of COPE. The journal allows free access to its contents and does not charge any article submission, processing or publication fee. We will be pursuing an ISSN number for the online version.Indexing of the journal in Google Scholar and Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources (ROAD) will also be obtained soon.
